Haying Season
The shot that almost wasn’t Across the street from us is a seventy three hectare piece of farming land. They have run cattle and sheep, as well as grown maize for animal feed. Around November last year (our spring) they allowed the grass to grow and then brought in the tractors to cut it. Every …
Spring 24
As spring approaches, the farm faces significant changes. Reduced physical activities mean spending less time in the garden, focusing more on livestock and sustainable practices. The farm currently hosts four cattle, four sheep, and several ducks and chickens. The orchard is in bloom, and there’s potential for future expansion. The essence lies in adapting to live off the land in new ways.
Nearing Seven Years

Weeding through my thoughts – to niche or not to niche
